Yoga has ignited a deep passion within me, as I have personally witnessed the incredible benefits it brings to my life. Motivated by my own transformative experiences, I am dedicated to inspiring others to embrace yoga and discover its potential for their own well-being.
In my quest, I have stumbled upon an exciting month-long yoga challenge that has captured my attention. I have committed myself to embark on this journey, and I extend a warm invitation for you to join me.
This is the second week of this challenge, which is titled "FLEXIBLE BODY, FLEXIBLE MIND" with Kassandra . It will be divided into two sections: flexibility for the body and flexibility for the mind.
No props are needed for this challenge, It's suitable for all levels, free and the classes will be only 10 minutes long (suitable for the mornings to stretch your muscles).
DAY 8: TRUST - 10 min Morning Yoga Stretch – Flexible Body Yoga Challenge
Today's yoga session starts sitting (I did it cross legged) you can choose the position that you're comfortable with.
You can sit on a pillow or blanket to lengthen up through your spine, and make sure to relax your shoulders for the seated side bend and the neck stretches.
Other poses include wide legged forward fold, reclined twist and happy baby.
This class challenge is called "TRUST", which is a consciousness journaling exercise, to journal about a belief you are ready to let go of.
DAY 9: LEARN - 10 min Morning Yoga Stretch – Flexible Body Yoga Challenge
It's the ninth day of this yoga challenge and it starts with extended child Pose.
The other poses include cat and cow, three legged dog, modified side plank and sphinx.
It's an energizing yoga class.
I'm glad to say I did the side plank :)
I did it before but I feel excited each time I make it because I used to be not able to do this pose.
The three legged dog is still a challenging pose for me.
Today's challenge is based around the one-word intention: "LEARN"
This challenge aims to let us know more about yoga and I will let you know what I learned in another post.
DAY 10: HEAL - 10 min Morning Yoga Stretch – Flexible Body Yoga Challenge
It's day 10 of the month-long yoga challenge with Kassandra, it's a milestone and I'm so proud that I made it so far and that you're here with me.
This yoga class is so gentle.
It starts with a reclined butterfly, then reclined pigeon, reclined twist, square pose and staff pose.
The square pose was uncomfortable for me so I resorted to a variation of the pose and that's totally okay.
This session's one-word intention is "HEAL" it's a really difficult challenge and I will try to do it and post about it.
DAY 11: ACTIVATE - 10 min Morning Yoga Stretch – Flexible Body Yoga Challenge
Day eleven of this month-long yoga challenge starts with mountain pose then other poses that include low lunge, baby cobra, ragdoll and seated cat/cow.
The poses are really awesome for the upper-body.
Today's one-word intention is "ACTIVATE".
The yoga teacher recommends that we scream as loud as we can and let the emotion out!
Let's see what I can do with this challenge.
I doubt it will be an easy one
DAY 12: RELEASE - 10 min Morning Yoga Stretch – Flexible Body Yoga Challenge
It's day twelve in "Flexible Body Yoga Challenge", today's session is slow paced and it started with a variation of the reclined twist pose.
Other poses include modified side plank, belly butterfly and downward dog.
The reclined shoelace was easy for me on the right side but it was very difficult on the left side.
Normally, the sides of the body feel different since we don't use them the same.
The one-word intention of today's session is RELEASE.
DAY 13: GIVE - 10 min Morning Yoga Stretch – Flexible Body Yoga Challenge
Lucky number 13 :) I love this number because something beautiful happened on the 13th for me last month :)
Today's practice will stretch the sore and stiff muscles with poses such as seated twist, cat and cow, tree pose and pyramid pose.
The one-word intention is GIVE.
It's a lovely exercise and I can't wait to post about it.
DAY 14: CELEBRATE - 10 min Morning Yoga Stretch – Flexible Body Yoga Challenge
Today's yoga session is very energizing with a short flow at the end of the class and empowering with the goddess pose.
This pose has magical effects on me. I love it.
Other poses include reclined knee to chest, wide legged forward fold and downward dog.
DAY 15: GRATITUDE - 10 min Morning Yoga Stretch – Flexible Body Yoga Challenge
It's the two weeks mark and today's yoga practice starts with toe squat, you can do a variation if you're not comfortable with this pose.
Other poses include puppy, reverse high lunge and seated forward fold.
Reminders during this challenge
